Why I LOVE Portrait Sessions!

Don't get me wrong, weddings are by far my most favorite events to document. Still, I like to schedule some portrait sessions in the middle of a busy wedding season just to break up my schedule and keep the creative juices flowing!

You don't need to be engaged, a graduation senior, or expecting mother to book a portrait session. You don't even need a real reason to want beautiful, timeless photos of yourself.

I love each and every portrait session I shoot. It gives me more time to be creative and make photographs that express who they are as a person. I set aside 1.5 hours of shooting time at any location(s) of my clients' choosing. If we are having fun and it gets closer to 2 hours, no big deal. I would rather be able to make as many unique images as possible for them to cherish for years to come.

Portrait sessions also bring out this sense of individuality that I find so special. Since my background is in photojournalism, I like capturing moments as they happen naturally as well as the posed ones. Some of my favorite images are ones that happened in between me directing someone where to put their hands or position their bodies.

I am ALWAYS looking to expand my portrait portfolio and explore locations I've never been so contact me to set up a session today!
